Har
bor House Backpack Program

Last year we committed to 20 cans of soup  for the Harbor House Backpack Program. This year we are committing to 32 cans of soup each week for school children in need of help with meals.   Praise God we can make an impact on our children!

Tremont Congregational Church works to help those in need in our community. Each month the congregation takes a special collection during service for the "Compassion Fund". This fund is used at the discretion of our pastor and elders to assist members of the community facing extreme hardship. This can be to help with winter heating oil, home foreclosure or any number of the many struggles that friends in the community may face. You can give to the Compassion Fund by mailing a check to:

Bar Harbor Food Pantry

The need for contributions of non-perishable food items is always high as so many families are strained in our community. Please make contributions and help your neighbors during difficult times. Your donations can be left at the parish house or brought directly to the food pantry behind the Bar Harbor YWCA (next to the Jesup Library).

Matthew 25:35-40 “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”
